Google I/O Extended 2012 - Develop for Good Hackathon

London GTUG will be hosting Google I/O Extended 2012 Hackathon on Wednesday, 27 June 2012 at 16:00 - Thursday, 28 June 2012 at 23:55 (GMT)

London, UK. 21/06/2012 - As part of Google I/O Extended 2012, we're joining the Develop for Good HackathonThere's a choice of three challenges to take part in:

1 - Citizen Engagement for Politics & Elections

Whichever category you choose, you have three chances to win prizes:
  • The global winning team in each challenge will win tickets to Google I/O 2013!
  • The best web app across all three challenges will win a Chromebook & Chrome T-Shirt
  • The best entry from I/O Extended London will win an additional prize, as decided by GTUG London. We'll reveal the prize on Day 1, and announce the winners via our Google+ page a few days after the event.
Teams can have up to five members, we recommend larger teams to increase your chance of winning. Please add your team to this list so we know who's involved (you can change it later if necessary):

The competition deadline is 11:59pm (PST) on June 29, which is 7:59am on June 30th here in London. When you're ready to submit, please submit your entry to both of these forms to be eligible for the global and London prizes:

We'll have hack space in Google Campus on Day 2 of I/O Extended London from 9.00am to 4.00pm, this is a great time to hack with your team and get feedback on your projects. You don't need to wait until I/O to get started though, you can use this week to find a team and come up with amazing ideas so you're ready to go!
